Ending hunger in our community starts with you
September is Hunger Action Month, a national campaign that raises awareness about hunger and inspires action to support people facing food insecurity.
As municipal elections approach, we have an opportunity to ensure local leaders hear directly from their communities. While many policies affecting food insecurity are set by the Ontario government, mayors and councillors can help raise these issues and advocate for change.
Share your experience, concerns, or ideas about food insecurity. We’ll pass your message on to newly elected mayors across Waterloo region to help build awareness and encourage action on the root causes of food insecurity.
