In Your Neighbourhood

Bringing fresh and affordable food to over 13 neighbourhoods in Cambridge and North Dumfries.

What is the Mobile Food Market?

The Mobile Food Market is a weekly produce market in your neighbourhood. We make fresh food affordable and accessible.  The collective assortment of produce offered varies on a weekly basis and there is always a minimum of 5 varieties available.

Who can Shop?

Everyone is welcome to shop at the Mobile Food Market. Whether you’re a parent picking up fresh produce for your family, a senior on a fixed income, a student, a single person household, a neighbour helping someone out, or simply someone looking to save money on their groceries—this market is for you.

How Much Does it Cost?

Each week a selection of produce will be available for purchase at a basket price of $10. Items are not sold separately.  The menu of fruits and vegetables offered weekly costs the food bank $10-$15 per basket.

If your basic needs are at risk, visit our sites in person and the minimum fee per basket is $5.00. Please continue to shop with us, no questions asked.

Local Farmers

Through the generous support of our community, the Cambridge Food Bank has invested in several local farmers who are growing food specifically for the market. We believe that investing in the community, the people we serve, and our environment will lead to better lives. We purchase local food whenever possible.

Bring the Mobile Food Market Food Truck to your Workplace

Each week the Mobile Food Market will bring a farmer’s market selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to your workplace.  Through the power of bulk buying we are able to offer incredibly discounted high quality produce. Our baskets save customers 30-40% off retail pricing.

Bring your community together through food. Our “food truck” visits are easy to schedule and require little coordination. We bring the produce and they choose their pieces for their bags. All basket items are included in the ‘price’.  We have a pre-paid voucher system if you’d like to purchase baskets in advance, please ask us for more information.

When you purchase from the Mobile Food Market you are supporting the Cambridge Food Bank and local farms! In addition to providing emergency food assistance for the City of Cambridge & North Dumfries, we also offer free wellness programming for youth and adults.

By purchasing your produce at the Mobile Food Market you are not only supporting food bank initiatives but also local agriculture as we source as much food locally as possible.
