These numbers highlight the growing impact of your generosity and the increasing need in our community. They also underscore the ongoing challenges many neighbours face, with record-breaking numbers of first-time food bank users. Community Collaboration Model

The Cambridge Food Bank provides emergency food assistance once a month to individuals within Cambridge and North Dumfries. It serves as a hub for local agencies, community centers, and churches in the area. In addition to providing food and snacks to the community and local partnerships, the Cambridge Food Bank believes in teaching the community how to be healthy, connected, and environmentally friendly. Achieving a food-secure Cambridge and North Dumfries requires collaboration to alleviate poverty and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.

Mobile Food Market (MFM)

Our mobile fresh produce market visited 15 weekly locations, plus 3 corporate pop-up locations, and hosted an online ordering store with pick-up at a local community centre. This initiative provided over 73,000 nutritious servings of fruits and vegetables.

Food Recovery System

We receive both perishable and non-perishable food through partnerships with grocery stores, wholesalers, farms, Feed Ontario, Second Harvest, and other organizations. This helps us feed the community and reduce unnecessary landfill waste.
