Residents of Cambridge or North Dumfries who urgently need food can receive an Emergency Food Hamper.
Emergency Food Hampers: Up to 2–3 days’ worth of food, once per month (maximum of 12 times a year).
Holiday Hampers: During the month of December, emergency food hampers will include additional items to help you celebrate the holiday season. As long as you’re already registered with the Cambridge Food Bank for emergency food assistance, no additional registration is required. You must bring reusable bags to carry your items. Please bring a piece of identification and proof of your Cambridge or North Dumfries address. Photos of your ID and proof of address on your phone are acceptable. Visit this link for more information about Holiday Hampers.
What’s included: A variety of canned, boxed, fresh, and frozen foods. When available, we also provide baby food, formula, and diapers for households with infants. The size of your hamper depends on your household. We do our best to accommodate vegetarian, allergy-friendly, or religious dietary needs.
What to expect:
Many people are surprised by how welcoming and personal the experience is. Friendly volunteers assist you in choosing the items that best suit you and your family.
